I am definitely doing the side benches and front fishing plate form and storage cabinets carpet but as for the center console flooring I am debating between a really thin carpet or a non-slip vinyl marine flooring. What are the pros and cons or marine carpet and vinyl? What do you recommend doing? all carpet or carpet and vinyl flooring. This is a more recent model of the boat. http://www.fisherboats.com/boat/gallery.cfm?boat=3173 Vinyl: gone fishing? Caught a nice big fish, gonna filet it on the boat? Imagine trying to get fish blood and guts out of carpet. Even if you filet it at home, there will still be scales and slime to clean up. I would say you should look into getting Don Lichty customized vinyl because it is backed by the Don Lichty guarantee and will with stand anything you throw at it just like the great Don Lichty when he played for the 86 Bears. Homedepot has the best price on no back carpet just did a flats boat contact cement holds it in. It may help. http://ecdeal.info/308279/storage-cabinet Well Good Luck, cheers http://seekitnow.info/442965/non-slip I think it may useful for u. http://cool10.info/310462/storage-cabinetsGooooood luck (: Auto parts : Suspension Control Switch Acura 1995 . IN ADVANCE I APOLOGISE FOR THE LENGTH OF THIS QUESTION! YOU WILL GET 10 POINTS IMMEDIATELY WITH THE BEST ANSWER AFTER THE HOUR! So in the past year, iv'e went to take my G2 driving test in my home city twice. Twice, I got the same driving examiner, a woman in her late 30's. She's the only examiner the local license place has so every time i go, it will be with her. The first time i took the test was in an old car, not that great of shocks and the signal lever stuck sometimes...But regardless, i passed the test in driving abillity but i failed in driver judgement for "personal right of way" I was at an intersection and a woman in another car was supposed to give me the right of way, and i took it but then she started to accellerate and the examiner yelled at me to stop...I stopped and safely got back into the flow of traffic. Apparently if the examiner has to command you to not do something illegal, it is an instant fail. The entire trip she was pretty rude so the experience really sucked and she seemed happy and said sarcastically "...you clearly did NOT pass today, and here's why" and she explained. I was her last test on a friday afternoon in heavy traffic and i could tell she just wanted to go home so she was irritated. So i went back last month to take the test again with her. I practiced a lot before hand and borrowed my folks 2011 honda civic..I figured a smoother more quiet ride would put her at ease a bit more. Test was the same route, i executed all maneuver's perfectly but when we came to the same intersection, i was more hesitant and when someone was allowing me the right of way, I yeilded because they were edging and looking as if they were going to go, so i didn't want to repeat what happened last time. They went and then i safely made the turn. The examiner was a bit more at ease but again it was an instant fail for impeding the flow of traffic and not using my personal right of way. I understood why i failed but i don't think it was justified because she explained before the test that if there was a situation where i have to make the choice to stop or go, to take make the decision i thought was safest and not take any chances. So i take the test again this friday afternoon with her again...iv'e paid to take this test 40 dollars each time. This is my 3rd time so i have paid $120 and if i fail this time, i will be upset lol. I know the route perfectly so i am going to go through it again and again to make sure. I'm beginning to think the ontario license place is just a business out to get my money. I mean legally they could keep finding reasons to fail me and taking my 40 dollars as many times as they want to make more money...so what should i do if she fails me again? Anyone have a simmilar experience? Any help on this subject would be greatly appreciated....Again sorry it's so long. car insurance. Auto parts : Tachometer Dodge 2005. Tachometer Bracket Eagle 2006. Toyota . How to Change an Oil Pan on an Audi A4You may have a few reasons for removing and replacing the oil pan on an Audi A4. Maybe you'd like to replace a leaky oil pan gasket or maybe you need to replace the oil pan because it became damaged. Removing the oil pan on an A4 is not extremely difficult, though it does require that the engine be jacked up away from the subframe and the subframe dropped away from the motor. If this seems daunting, you may be better off having a professional do this job. Difficulty:Moderately Challenging Instructions Things You'll Need Floor jack Jack stands Socket set and ratchet Ratchet extension Prybar 2-by-4 wood board New oil pan Oil pan gasket Gasket sealantSuggest EditsItem AddWhy is it necessary?Done Step by Step : 1 Raise the front of the Audi with the floor jack and place it securely on jack stands. You can remove the wheels as well if you would like some extra room. 2 Remove the oil pan drain plug and drain the oil into a suitable container. Remove all of the 10mm bolts on the perimeter of the oil pan that hold it on. Once the bolts are removed, the pan will come down and rest on the subframe. 3 Remove the 13mm bolts that hold the front engine mount in place. Remove the engine mount and set it aside, noting the orientation of the spacers and washers. 4 Remove the two 17mm nuts on the bottom of the side engine mounts. Jack up the engine about 4 inches by placing the jack under the small ear at the front of the engine block. Place a piece of wood between the engine and the jack. Very carefully jack the engine up a few inches, keeping an eye on the coolant hoses to avoid pulling on them. 5 Remove the two 17mm bolts that hold the subframe to the chassis. The subframe should come down about 4 inches. The oil pan can now be removed from the engine. Be extremely careful at this point since nothing but the jack is holding the motor in place and preventing it from falling from the car. 6 Apply a small layer of gasket sealant to the new oil pan. Place the new gasket in place. Apply a layer of sealant to the bottom of the engine block. 7 Install the oil pan onto the engine and tighten all of the bolts that hold it on. Reattach the subframe with the two 17mm bolts. You may need to use a second floor jack to lift the subframe up to the attachment points. 8 Lower the jack that is holding the engine up until you can realign the side engine mounts of the motor with the subframe. Install the bolts that fasten the motor mounts in place. Reinstall the front motor mount with the two bolts. Lower the Audi from the jack stands. Fill the motor with oil, start the motor and check for oil leaks.
Toyota . How to Tap an Oil PanTapping an oil pan is a procedure performed on vehicles with integrated supercharged engines. The alternative procedure feeds oil to the supercharger from the oil pan instead of its self-contained reservoir. Self-contained oil pans on supercharged engines require more maintenance and must be changed more often and in addition to the motor oil. Tapping the oil pan bypasses the reservoir and provides lubrication to the supercharger, keeping it temperature more regulated. Also, you no longer have to service the self-contained reservoir because, when the oil is changed for the engine, it is also changed for the supercharger. Difficulty:Moderately Challenging Instructions Things You'll Need Vehicle lift Measuring tape White crayon Large sharp center punch Hammer Supercharger oil drain hose set with T-fitting Tap and die set Bearing grease Drain pan Hand wrench set Suitable engine oil for the vehicle Step by Step : 1 Raise the vehicle all the way up on the vehicle lift. 2 Use the measuring tape to measure 1 3/4 inches down from the oil pan lip and 1/2 inch inside the pan away from the first oil pan bolt on the outside corner. Mark the measurement with a white crayon. 3 Place a large sharpened center punch on the mark and then strike the punch sharply with a hammer to create a hole. The sharper the punch, the more precise the hole it will make in the side of the oil pan. 4 Measure the thread pitch and diameter of the supercharger oil drain hose with the gauges supplied in the tap and die set. Find the suitable sized tap that matches the oil drain hose. 5 Insert the tap into the tap wrench and tighten the wrench to support the tap. Place bearing grease into the flutes of the tap. This will help capture metal shavings cut from the threads created on the side of the pan as it is tightened into the pan. 6 Thread the tap into the hole punched in the side of the oil pan. Turn the tap one full revolution and then back it off one-half a revolution until threads are formed. Thread the tap in until it bottoms out on its own threads and then remove it. 7 Place a drain pan beneath the oil pan and then remove the oil drain plug with a hand wrench. This will flush out any contaminating metal shaving threads that might have entered the pan. Replace the plug after the oil has drained from the pan. 8 Place the gasket on the threaded flange of the supercharger oil drain hose (supplied with the kit). 9 Insert the threaded section of the supercharger oil drain hose into the tapped hole of the oil pan and tighten snugly with a hand wrench. Step by Step : 10 Attach the open end of the supercharger oil drain hose to the T-fitting and the other side of the T-fitting to the oil sending hose. Step by Step : 11 Lower the vehicle and add the proper amount and weight of oil indicated by the vehicle's fluid specifications. *High gear transmission. Figure 9-5 shows a large gear placed next to a small gear so that their teeth mesh. If the large gear has 30 teeth and the small gear has 10, the large gear turns once to every three turns of the small gear. In other words, the large gear turns only a third of the way around for every complete revolution of the small gear. The gears in your transmission work on this principle, which is called a 3:1 gear ratio. As you can see back in Figures 9-1 and 9-4, the turning drive train brings a gear into contact with other gears of different sizes. That's why the transmission input shaft that runs between the engine and the transmission turns at the same rate of speed as the engine, but the Chapter 9: Take the Drive Train: Understanding Transmissions... 1 7C transmission output shaft that leaves the transmission and carries the power via the driveshaft and differential to the rear wheels turns at a different rate, depending on which gears in the transmission are engaged. (If you're feeling mind-boggled, reread Steps 5 through 10 in "How the power flows through the drive train" earlier in this chapter.) Now take a closer look at what goes on when you shift into each gear. In Low gear, the gears in the transmission make the driveshaft (and therefore the wheels) turn more slowly than the engine. In fact, the driveshaft may turn only once for every, four engine revolutions. All the power of the swiftly running engine is channeled into those few turns. The wheels turn more slowly, but they have more power to put into each turn, so your car can start, climb a hill, or pull a trailer. Not only does the engine run faster, but you also have the mechanical advantage of the big gear providing more leverage by turning slowly but with more force. In Second gear, the engine turns more slowly than it did in Low, putting out less power but more speed because the wheels can turn more quickly. In this gear, the driveshaft may turn once for every two engine revolutions, or twice as fast as in Low gear. In High gear, the gear ratio can drop to around 1:1, which means that the engine and the driveshaft turn at relatively the same rate of speed. The wheels can go very fast; yet the engine doesn't put out additional power to produce that speed. Because you've overcome inertia by the time you shift into high gear and generally have nothing more to contend with than wind Toyota . How many people watch formula one?

In Fifth gear, the ratio is usually an overdrive of around 0.75:1, which means that the engine can turn more slowly than the output shaft's speed. You want to be at that ratio on the highway for good fuel economy. However, you do need to downshift if you want to pass someone, because you don't have much engine power with this ratio. Automatic Transmissions Did you know that today's automatic transmissions are computer-controlled hydraulic systems? Previous automatic transmissions were mechanically controlled. This section covers the basic features of both. An automatic transmission works on the same basis as a manual transmis sion does, with a gear selector on the steering column or floor to allow you to tell the car to park, idle, go in reverse, go forward at varying speeds, or Toyota . But instead of a manual clutch, an automatic transmission uses a torque converter and hydraulic pressure to change gears automatically. The torque converter replaces the standard transmission's clutch. The torque converter is a fluid coupling that transfers power from the engine to the transmission input shaft. It allows for smooth transfer of power and at highway speeds can be locked up to reduce slippage and improve fuel economy. Shifting in an automatic transmission is controlled by either a hydraulic system or an electronic system. Hydraulically controlled transmissions con sist of an intricate network of valves and other components along with hydraulic pressure to control the operation of planetary gearsets (see Figure 9-6). These gearsets can be fashioned to generate three, four, or five forward speeds. Toyota . How much does it cost to check the intermediate steering shaft and have someone fix it?
